A section of Glendale Boulevard at Silver Lake Boulevard was closed for several hours today after an eight-inch water main burst early this morning. Southbound Glendale Boulevard was closed at Silver Lake Boulevard fpr much of the day and only one northbound lane was open. But all lanes had reopened before 5 p.m. An Eastsider reader reported that large amounts of water were gushing from the street at about 5:30 a.m. The break, located on the west side of the street in front of Neutra architecture office, has left about 30 customers without water, according to a DWP spokeswoman.
