This past week’s crime hot spots include numerous burglaries across Echo Park and vehicle thefts and break-ins in Boyle Heights and City Terrace, where four cars were stolen in one day, according to CrimeMapping.com. Here are details on some of the crimes reported between Jan. 21 – Jan. 27:
BOYLE HEIGHTS –– Not a good week for vehicle owners, with at least 20 reports of break-ins and vehicle thefts. The crimes were spread across the neighborhood but about five the incidents took place on or near Evergreen Street near Evergreen Cemetery.
CITY TERRACE — More than a dozen vehicles were stolen or broken into the City Terrace section of East L.A.. January 21 was an especially busy day: four vehicles were reported stolen and a fifth was broken into.
ECHO PARK – Eight burglaries and attempted burglaries were reported in the Echo Park area, from the Elysian Heights section in the north to Angeleno Heights and the area below the 101 Freeway. Two burglaries were reported in the 1100 block of West Kensington Road in Angeleno Heights.
