EAST LOS ANGELES — Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the Monday night murder of an East Los Angeles man who was shot at his front door.
At around 9:55 p.m., two male suspects came to a residence in the 600 block of south Ford Boulevard and knocked on the front door, according a statement released by the Sheriff’s Department. The victim came to the door and began talking to the suspects through the closed metal screen door. During the conversation, one of the suspects fired multiple shots, striking the victim in the upper torso.
East Los Angeles Station deputies arriving on the scene found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspects fled on foot northbound away from the location. There is no additional suspect information at this time and the investigation is on-going.
