HIGHLAND PARK — Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, the San Francisco-based creator of the Cruffin pastry, recently opened in Highland Park, Eater LA reports. Long lines of customers curious about croissant-muffin hybrid have been spotted outside the new bakery, located off of Figueroa Street. The space comes with a somewhat open prep-and-bake area in the back, a lengthy cement bar, and pastry cases filled with their famous croissant-muffin filled with cream, among other sweet treats. Caffeine abounds, with the choice of coffee, espresso and green tea.
There’s also a plan in the works for expanding to wholesale baking in the large art-deco space. Mr. Holmes Bakehouse is located on the 100 block of S. Avenue 59 in Highland Park.
