EAGLE ROCK — Police are searching for the suspect who attempted to kidnap a high school student near Occidental College Monday afternoon.
The Eagle Rock High School student was walking home from school at about 3 p.m. when she was approached by a man near the corner of Campus Road and Escarpa Drive, police said. The man attempted to pull her by her arm and take her into his vehicle, said Officer Mike Lopez with LAPD Media Relations.
The victim was able to break away from the suspect and run home where she alerted her parents, who reported the incident to the police, said Lopez.
The suspect is described as being between 20 to 25 years old, 5-feet-11 inches tall weighing 150 pounds with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt with a hoodie and black shoes. He was driving a blue, 4-door car, make and model unknown.
