Last year about 800 people applied for the 500 seasonal jobs at Dodger Stadium. But on Saturday more than 5,000 job seekers showed up looking for work as ushers, security guards and food vendors as Los Angeles County’s unemployment rate topped 10%, according to CBS2. There were so many applicants that the Dodgers kept their annual job fair on Saturday open until 10 p.m. – six hours later than scheduled.
