Last week’s major crimes included a rape and shooting in Eagle Rock and a handful of violent robberies in Highland Park. Boyle Heights, meanwhile, was the scene of numerous aggravated assaults and violent robberies. Echo Park & Silver Lake (90026)
Five burglaries reported across Echo Park and Silver Lake. Three vehicle break-ins and a Grand Theft Auto reported near Sunset and Alvarado.
Lincoln Heights & Montecito Heights (90031)
Two violent robberies and two aggravated assaults were reported on or near North Broadway in Lincoln Heights.
Boyle Heights (90033)
The neighborhood continues to be the scene of numerous violent robberies, with six reported during the week (half of them near the 5 Freeway). There were also eight aggravated assaults and 16 reports of stolen vehicles across the area.
Atwater Village & Silver Lake (90039)
Two burglaries were reported in the 3200 block of Glendale Blvd (sounds like these two businesses) in Atwater Village. Two stolen vehicles and a violent robbery were among the crimes reported in Silver Lake.
Eagle Rock (90041)
A rape was reported in the 1900 block of Yosemite Drive and three personal thefts were reported on or near the west end of Colorado Boulevard. The shooting of a 17-year-old high school studnet last Thursday, however, does not appear in the online crime information.
Highland Park (90042)
Five violent robberies and burglaries were reported last week. Three of the violent robberies and two of the burglaries took place on Figueroa.
Cypress Park, Glassell Park & Mt. Washington (90065)
A violent robbery and two stolen vehicles were reported in Glassell Park while an aggravated assault was reported in Cypress Park.
